Lee Jin Woo is a painter from South Korea, he lives in Paris for 10 years.

His paintings is like a lengthy walk through memories. He absorbs the chaos and transform it un wisdom and calmness.

Soil, ink, coal, pigments come across on a bamboo paper sometimes burned or torn. Its surface is impenetrable and transparent.

His large works using natural pigments is evidence of permanence of Korean tradition.

"Once in front of my painting, I become an arm that paints. My hand extends my brain...I don't think any more, my work become intuitive"
