For twenty years, Laurence Garnesson has not stopped her research into the arrangement of shape and colors.
Immune to fashions and deaf to various schools of thought, the artist has only ever listened to the sound of her own particularity enchanting inner music where the most antagonistic elements dialogue in complete harmony.
Graceful marks and victorious blocks of solid color, grainy layers and liquid transparency, deep black and soft color whose light seems to well up from the very heart of the canvas.
Through a set of successive shifts, she has been able to jettison the superfluous from her language to keep only the very substance, "the right gesture".
Far from chattering discourse, her work now speaks of silence, gentleness and authority intermingled.
