Born in Trinidad, Kenneth Alfred decided to live in France after considering the United States and England in order to immerge himself in the European culture.
After successfully getting his Beaux Arts diploma, he is selected as a fellow at the pretigious Academy of France in Roma. He then spent one year at Villa Medicis where he dedicates his time to painting, drawing and engraving.
In 1994, he earns the famous Lacourière Award for his engraving work.
Besides his painting and drawing activity, Kenneth Alfred has worked for more than ten years now on innovating art pieces using simultaneous modern reproduction techniques and traditional engraving techniques.
